“We have embarked on a new century, a time in history when we must make serious changes in the way that we think…What vibration we give to the earth and what kind of planet we create depends on each one of us as individuals.” ~ Masaru Emoto
Do you realize that the thoughts you think and the words you speak can positively change your own life, the lives of others and even the environment we live in? Many sages have taught this wisdom throughout history. However, it is the Japanese advocate for peace, Dr Masaru Emoto, who found a unique way to communicate this message to the world.
Dr Masaru Emoto was born on the 22nd of July in Yokohama, Japan in 1943. Most people first heard of Dr Emoto in 2004 when the hit movie, What the Bleep Do We Know? was released. In the documentary-style film, Dr Emoto’s findings on the energy of thoughts was demonstrated, for as an original thinker, he undertook extensive research of water to discover that in frozen form water revealed to us a very special gift; the power of resonance.
By exposing water to a particular word or piece of music, freezing it and photographing it, he showed that water exposed to positive words such as love and gratitude or beautiful music formed the most exquisite water crystals. Contrastingly, words that were mean, angry or negative formed what resembled cancerous cells when the water was frozen and photographed. When we remember that the adult human body is comprised of approximately 90% water, it is easy to understand that through the power of resonance, we can affect ourselves, others and our environment by the words we speak and the thoughts we think.
In the light of this, how would you describe your current self-talk? What are your predominant thoughts about? How have you been talking and thinking about other people? Imagine that you can visualize water crystals in your body, given your current thoughts and words, what would they look like? Lets take this even further and imagine that the vibrational frequency of your thoughts and words had a musical sound… Once again, given your current thoughts and words, what sound would match your vibration?
In her book, The Power Is Within You, bestselling author, Louise Hay reminds us that our thoughts and words are continuously programming our subconscious minds: ”Our subconscious minds don’t know true from false or right from wrong…So don’t joke about yourself and make derogatory remarks about yourself because they will not create good experiences for you. Don’t belittle others either. The subconscious mind doesn’t distinguish between you and the other person. It hears the words, and it believes you are talking about yourself.”
Once you understand how powerful your words and thoughts are, you can take charge of your life by consciously choosing to be mindful of the way you think and speak. Choosing to embark upon a “negativity diet” can really help the process. This means avoiding negative influences as much as possible such as negative discussions with yourself or others, turning off television and radio programs with negative themes, staying away from violent movies and steering clear of gossip-based magazines.
Using positive affirmations, blessings and the power of prayer further enhances the positive vibrations you are emitting to the world drawing to you positive experiences that match your resonance.
Here are some affirmations that you may like to incorporate into your life:
- “I am loving and loveable and loved.”
- “I am healthy and filled with vibrant energy.”
- “I prosper wherever I turn.”
- “I am willing to change and grow.”
- “Everything comes to me at the perfect time and in the perfect way.”
- “All is well in my world.”
However, if there is something in your life that you really dislike, one of the quickest ways to release it is to bless it with love.
“I bless you with love and I release you and let you go.”
This works for people, situations, objects, living quarters and habits.
You can also learn to use prayerful intent to put beneficial energies into your body, into substances, such as food and water, into objects, such as jewelry, and into your living environment. You can literally learn to surround and fill yourself with positive energy rather than focusing on what you fear or do not want in your life.
Dr Masaru Emoto also demonstrated this by freezing and photographing water from the Fujiwara Dam before and after a Buddhist Blessing Ceremony. The water prior to the blessing looked rather sickly. The water after the blessing formed the most beautiful crystals!
Currently, in my Reiki Healing Sessions, I am using Dr Masaru Emoto’s water crystal cards to help clients discover the particular positive energy that is required for their healing! The results have been amazing! Furthermore, one of the reasons I incorporate positive visualizations, affirmations and beautiful healing harp music into the meditation and healing sessions I offer, is to help people to align and transform their lives with positive energy.
I hope this article has provided you with some wonderful inspiration to keep your energy positive.
I would like to take a moment to honor Dr Masaru Emoto who passed peacefully from this world on the 17th of October. According to his family, his last words were “Arrigato” which means “Thank you” in Japanese. His family believe that he was giving his last thanks to all the people who shared his vision for peace, the people he met on his journey and everyone who came into contact with his life work. Over the past twenty years, as an advocate for peace, he has written many books such as The Hidden Messages of Water, provided lectures and created a non-for-profit organization to teach people and especially children about the messages from water. Eternal Love and Gratitude to you Dr Masaru Emoto!
